Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin is reportedly close to signing a new deal with the Nerazzurri to keep the Colombian at the club until 2017.
The 27-year-old was linked with moves to Chelsea and Juventus during the January transfer window, the latter being close to happening, however, now Guarin looks set to stay at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
According to Tuttosport, the new deal will see Guarin receive a significant raise, as his salary is expected to rise from €2.2 million to €3.2m per year with a possible bonuses being added on.
Guarin was not in the squad for the Derby d’Italia on Sunday evening, but is expected to return for Inter’s next match against Sassuolo.
