Former Lazio midfielder Hernanes has reiterated once again that his move to Inter came of his own interest.
The 28-year old Brazilian departed to join Inter in this January window, signing a much improved contract than the one offered by Lazio. As fans have started their protest against Lazio management, Hernanes revealed once again that the decision to leave Lazio was taken by him.
“It was my personal decision to join Inter. Please trust me,” Hernanes wrote on his Facebook page.
“I’ve always tried to do right thing for me. I already wrote about this here; it was my decision.
“Tomorrow I’ll have the opportunity to speak face to face about this.”
In his three and a half years spell at Lazio, Hernanes had scored 33 goals in 117 appearances.
