Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic and Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna could both be on their way to San Siro in the summer as Inter have confirmed their interest.

Seria A giants Inter have publicly declared their interest in securing the free transfer of the departing Serbian Manchester United captain, Vidic, who this week announced that he will be leaving Old Trafford after eight successful years at the club.

The 32-year-old rejected a new contract with the Red Devils and believes it is time for a new challenge, and has this sparked interest from clubs all over Europe.

Inter are now favourites to sign Vidic in the summer and have they expressed their desire to complete a deal.
“Vidic is an important player whose contract expires in June. Like other European clubs, we will try to get something from this great opportunity,” Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio told Tuttosport.

It is rumoured that a contract has already been made during Christmas based on a two-year deal worth €2.5 million per year with bonuses and with the option for automatic renewal for a third season.

Inter’s new owner, Erik Thohir, is targeting several new players in order to improve the squad and is Vidic not the only Premier League player that the Indonesian businessman is interested in. According to the English Daily Mail, reports suggests that Inter are also very keen on Arsenal’s French full-back Sagna.

Sagna, who didn’t renew his contract with the Gunners, is very likely to leave London at the end of the season. Sagna has refused the new proposal from Arsenal to extend his contract for another two seasons. The Frenchman’s contract ends this summer and are Inter and other clubs from around the world such as Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City also interested in signing the right-back.
