Nenad Krsticic believes that the rescheduling of the Genoa match will not affect Sampdoria’s preparations for the game because they can’t wait to face their local rivals.

The Derby della Lanterna has been switched from Sunday lunchtime to Monday evening in order to avoid a clash with a large market held on Sunday in the Marassi area of the city.

“For us, nothing changes,” Krsticic told Samp’s official website. “We can’t wait to play the game.”

Genoa won the reverse clash 3-0 in September and the Serbian midfielder is keen to gain revenge on the Rossoblu.
”We have one clear goal in mind – to win.”

Blucerchiati are currently 13th in the table following last weekend’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Bologna, but the former OFK Belgrade man remains upbeat.

“We have nothing to blame, we did our best but we were unlucky in that we conceded in the last minute.

“Albeit we only took one point, but we came out of this challenge well. We had a good match and had many opportunities, but we couldn’t kill the game off and in the end Bologna punished us.

“This is football, now we have to turn the page and think about the next game.”
