Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic has denied reports of a Serie A comeback and insisted that he is desperate to succeed in the Premier League.
The former Fiorentina player arrived at the Etihad Stadium this summer but has struggled to make a serious impact in Manchester, leaving suggestions that both the club and the 24-year-old would be open to a Serie A return.
“Next season I will hit the ground running and the fans will see the real Jovetic,” the defiant striker told the press.
Jovetic has made just seven Premier League appearances, in which he found the net on one occasion.
