Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi believes there are signs of improvements, from the team he coached in the late 80s and early 90s.

His reaction comes as a further boost for his former side, as they played an encouraging game against Spanish outfit, Atletico Madrid in the 1st leg of the Champions League round 16.

“For the first time this season Milan played like a team, at least for 50 minutes,” the former maestro declared to Italian radio station Radio24.

“Seedorf has added balance to a team that previously wasn’t balanced.

“Were they unlucky? Misfortune is a name given to the ambitions of others.

“Milan at the moment are a team with many individuals but with little sense of collective.”

Sacchi is perceived as a pioneer who won back to back European Cups for the Rossoneri, he is recognised as an innovator of promoting the high pressing game.
