Siena have announced the arrival of forward Diego Fabbrini, who has joined the Robur on loan from English Championship side Watford.

Fabbrini is one of the exodus of players who have left Udinese to join sister club Watford during the tenure of the Pozzo family as owners of each club.

Siena’s official website confirmed the deal on deadline day, revealing that the 23-year-old will join the Tuscan side on loan.

Fabbrini joined the Hornets during the summer of 2013, and made twenty appearances for the side under Gianfranco Zola and Giuseppe Sannino, but scored just one goal.

Having come through the youth system with another Tuscan club Empoli, he impressed enough during the early part of his career to earn twelve caps for Italy’s Under 21 side, and even earned a full international cap, playing one game for the Azzurri.

After their relegation last season, Siena currently occupy thirteenth position in Serie B.
