Argentine striker Maxi Lopez has declared that the option to re-join for Sampdoria from Catania in the winter break came at just the right moment and that he did not hesitate to sign.
The former AC Milan player joined the team of Sinisa Mihailovic on loan with the opportunity for the Bluerchiati to purchase the striker permanently at the end of the season.
The 29-year old spoke with Gazetta dello Sport about his transfer, “When this possibility arrived, I thought it was the right time to sign.
“It was an option that interested me very much. I phoned Mihajlovic and realised the seriousness he has for this project.
“I did not hesitate for a moment. I have definitely made the right decision.”
Maxi Lopez will wear shirt number 7 at the Genoa based club.
