Tottenham Hotspur are keeping track of Inter fullback Yuto Nagatomo as they seek to strengthen their options at the back.

Spurs are yet to be convinced by current fullback Danny Rose who has been given an extended run in the first team and have been previously linked with moves for Alvaro Pereira and Domenico Criscito, but it appears they have now turned their attentions to the 27-year-old Japan international.

SportsDirectNews reports that Spurs are not the only club interested in the player as both Manchester United and Real Madrid have been linked with a move, however the North London outfit would be in pole position because of the good relations between the Nerazzurri and Tottenham sporting director Franco Baldini.

The former Cesena player has gone on to establish himself as a first team regular at the San Siro since joining the club in 2011 and has made in excess of 100 appearances in all competitions for the Nerazzurri.
