The eighth day of the Viareggio brought another round of shocks, great goals and action from the 66th edition of the prestigious youth tournament.

Palermo met Verona, Anderlecht battled against Atalanta while AC Milan faced Envigado and Fiorentina welcomed Parma.

Anderlecht edged out Atalanta 3-2 in a five goal thriller; N.Jaadi scored twice including a 92nd minute penalty to give the Belgians a close victory while Tulissi was sent off for the Bergamo side, who ended the match with 10 men.

A lone goal from Bende gave AC Milan a 1-0 victory over Envigado who will now meet Fiorentina in the semi-finals. The Viola beat Parma 2-1, taking the lead after just nine minutes through Mancini. The Ducali equalised in the second half with a goal from Cerri before De Poli sank a winner to send the Florence side through.

Palermo reached the semi-final of the Viareggio Cup after destroying Verona 4-0. The Sicillian side were 2-0 up by the 12th minute when Bentivegna doubled the advantage that Petermann gave the Rosanero after four minutes.

AC Milan will meet Fiorentina while Anderlecht face off against Palermo for a chance to make it to the Viareggio Cup final. It could be an all Italian affair if Palermo bypass the Belgians and at least one finalist guaranteed to be from the peninsula thanks to the Fiorentina-Milan match up.
