According to reports coming from France, Montpellier striker M’Baye Niang, currently on loan from AC Milan, has ruined his red Ferrari after driving it into a tree.

The accident happened on a road in the southern French city of Montpellier on Sunday, and the stricken vehicle was taken away from the scene by a tow truck with both of the airbags exploded.

Le Parisien reports that Niang is not in police custody, and wasn’t driving at the time of the crash, although witnesses present claim that the car was travelling at excessive speeds when it crashed

The former France Under-21 international later deleted a message left on his official twitter account declaring that he was unhurt after the incident.

Of course this isn’t the first time Niang has gotten himself into trouble behind the wheel of a car, as he was famously caught by police driving without a license in September 2012, mere weeks after joining the Rossoneri, and tried to get away with it by pretending to be his teammate at the time, Bakaye Traore.

The ex-Caen striker has been in phenomenal form for Montpellier, and has already scored three goals in four appearances since being loaned out by Milan after having failed to hit the back of the net in 18 months at the Stadio San Siro.

Below you can see the aftermath of Niang’s crash and the damage done to his Ferrari.
