Udinese goalkeeper Zeljko Brkic’s future at the club is under increasing pressure following the emergence of 17 year old starlet Simone Scuffet.

The young Italian has been a bright spot for the Zebrette in recent weeks, showing immense potential since making his debut earlier this month, winning all three matches he has been a part of.

The 27 year old Brkic was expected to be Samir Handanovic’s successor when the Slovenian departed for Inter a couple of seasons ago, but some mixed performances have allowed Scuffet to stake a place in the team.

Tuttomercatoweb.com reports that Udinese may allow Brkic to leave in the summer so their young prodigy has the space and the time to develop next season.

Scuffet has made three appearances for Udinese thus far this campaign.
