Adriano Galliani has confirmed that AC Milan players who remain at the club will see their salaries cut in the summer, after failing to qualify for the Champions League.

The Rossoneri’s season will be one to forget for the vice-president, with the side currently in 12th position in Serie A, 22 points away from a Champions League qualification spot.

“Kaka said that at the end of the season he will come to me to talk about a wage reduction? There is nothing to add,” Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Almost all the players have signed a contract that provides for an 80 per cent fixed salary and a 20 per cent variable, relating to the qualification or not to the Champions League. Not to the Europa League.

“So, there are no discussion about it. And I guarantee that all the players will survive.”

The Diavolo have nine matches left to play in Serie A, and face Fiorentina on Wednesday night.
