Alvarez: I want to stay at Inter

Inter playmaker Ricardo Alvarez has expressed his desire to remain with the Nerazzurri beyond the current season.

The 25-year-old has struggled with injury problems recently but has revealed his desire to extend his deal at the San Siro and return to the squad as soon as possible.

Speaking to FC Inter News, the Argentine international said that he has been discussing his future with the club.

“We are speaking about the future and my desire is to stay here” said the midfielder, who has scored four goals in twenty two Serie A appearances this season.

“Are we close to an agreement? To be honest, I am not thinking about the contract.

“My objective remains to return to the squad, the rest I leave to my agent.”

Alvarez, who arrived  from Velez Sarsfield in 2011 for around €8.4 million, has had an impressive season in which he has made seven assists.
