César Azpilicueta - ChelseaSpanish national team defender Cesar Azpilicueta believes his country played a great game in their 1-0 victory over Italy on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old assured that he tried his best during the Roja’s 1-0 win over the Azzurri in Madrid on Wednesday, though he also admits that playing with some of his countrymen made his job a bit easier on the pitch.

Azpilicueta spoke to the press after the victory about the positive result, while also commenting on his dream to play in the World Cup in Brazil this summer.

“We had a very good game against a world champion team,” said the Chelsea man.

“I had tried to do my best, but playing with certain players had made everything much easier.

“The World Cup? It’s my dream and I work to the maximum everyday to achieve it.

“I’m still lacking a bit and the competition is very strong, but I hope to realise my dream.”
