Del Bosque - SpainSpain coach Vicente Del Bosque was adamant that there wasn’t a big gap in performance between Spain and Italy during La Roja’s 1-0 win on Wednesday night.

A second half goal from Pedro was enough to give the reigning World Cup champions the victory, but Del Bosque pointed out that the important thing is for both sides to be in top form in time for this summer’s tournament in Brazil.

“I think that the Italian players have a very intense calender,” he told Rai Sport after the match.

“I didn’t see a big difference even if we were able to move the ball around better. There are still three months until the World Cup and the important thing will be to arrive there in the best condition, without injuries.

“I saw an Italy that we were better able to control than on other occasions.

“[Fernando] Llorente? He is a great guy, an extraordinary athlete. There are still three months but I can’t call up everyone.”
