Fiorentina defender Modibo Diakite believed that the draw against Sampdoria was a fair result.
The 27 year old Frenchman, who is on loan from Sunderland, played 90 minutes for the Viola in their 0-0 draw at the Stadio Ferraris.
“Too bad for the crossbar on [Juan] Vargas’ [free kick], but the draw is alright,” he told Rai Sport.
“We look towards Napoli [in third], but we are also looking at who’s behind us.”
“[Our] objective is to take as many points as we can, then deal with [our standing] in the end.
“It’s true that we have already [qualified for next year’s] Europa League by reaching the Coppa Italia final, but now we have to think about Serie A because there is still a month left in that challenge.”
