Fabian Rinaudo - CataniaDespite suffering defeat to Serie A leaders Juventus at their Angelo Massimino home on Sunday, Fabian Rinaudo believes that he and his Catania teammates can be proud of their performance as they look to climb off the bottom of the table.

The Argentinean even had two chances to give the Rossoblu unexpected lead against Antonio Conte’s side, and although he could not take those chances he insisted he must find more goalscoring opportunities in the future.

“I played very well, even on the left of midfield, I did everything that the coach asked me to do,” Rinaudo told Forza Italian Football.

“The most important thing is how we played, today we showed how we can fight and did that on the pitch.

“I have had two attempts to score, but couldn’t get the goal. Next time I need to get more than two chances.

“I am trying to contribute more in the last couple of weeks after the coach has called on me.”

With Napoli next up for the Elefanti on Wednesday night the attacker noted that the Azzurri’s loss to Fiorentina on Sunday evening also fills them with confidence that they can inflict a second consecutive defeat on Rafael Benitez’ side.

“Napoli have lost their last game,” he continued. “Therefore we hope to get a good result against them.”
