Inter and Nike step up partnership

Inter and American manufacturer Nike are set to begin the next stage of their commercial partnership.

Last August, the two signed a 10 year contract worth roughly around €200 million, as well as providing kits for Inter the deal also involved Nike helping Inter establish their global brand.

Although Inter owner, Erick Thohir hadn’t completed his takeover of the club at the time of the deal being announced, he is understand to have played a huge role in its completion.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that to help achieve the goals of aiding Inter’s global presence, a new company called ‘Inter Merchandising’ is to be founded.

The company itself will solely be owned by Nike, however three of the seven expected board members will come from Inter.

Similar strategies are already in place at clubs like Barcelona, Manchester United and Juventus.
