Pjanic – Roma

A number of clubs are increasingly interested in signing Roma’s Bosnian playmaker Miralem Pjanic. The midfielder has been in excellent form this season under coach Rudi Garcia, alerting the interest of several of Europe’s leading side’s.

Pjanic’s current deal expires in June 2015 and the Giallorossi are eager to secure him to a long term contract as soon as possible. If they are unable to do so then they may consider selling the player.

Last summer the club sold Marquinhos, Dani Osvaldo and Erik Lamela although those sales were not linked to the players’ contract situation

Corriere della Sera report that Bayern Munich, Monaco, PSG and Barcalona are all monitoring developments closely. The arrival of Roma president James Pallotta to the capital city could speed up the negotiation process according to sporting director Walter Sabatini.

Pjanic was signed from Lyon in 2011 and has made over 80 appearances for the club.
