Inter midfielder Saphir Taider conceded that he is frustrated about his lack of first team opportunities, but inisited that he will fight to find a place in Walter Mazzarri’s side.

The Algerian is on international duty as his country face Slovenia in a midweek friendly game but found some time to speak about the lack of first team football.

“It’s a strange time,” he told the press. “This is the first time this season that I have remained on the sidelines for a few games without playing.

“It’s a situation that I have to accept, that is the price you pay when you play in a big European club.

“Yes, it bothers me, when you are ambitious you always want to play every game to the 90th minute.

“Having said that, I do not feel the pressure and I only have to work to regain my place in the team.

“If my place at the World Cup is at risk? I am here to work and to progress. I am immensely proud to be able to grow at a club like Inter and I am convinced that I am improving day by day.”

Taider has made 21 appearances for Inter in Serie A this season, though nine have come from the substitutes bench.
