Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon is reportedly set to be offered a new deal from the club following the summer’s World Cup.

Buffon has been a long time Juventus player and has been the Bianconeri’s starting goalkeeper since his record breaking arrival from Parma in 2001.

Tuttosport claim that Buffon has already discussed a potential extension with Juventus management and will reportedly agree to a three year extension to his current contract, which expires in June 2015.

Buffon has made over 300 Serie A appearances for Juve since his arrival, and was made club captain following Alessandro Del Piero’s departure in 2012.

The veteran turned 36 on the 28th of January and the new deal is set to keep Buffon in Turin until he is 40.
