Sassuolo coach Alberto Malesani believes his side were unlucky to lose against Parma on Sunday afternoon.

The Italian coach has found himself under lot of pressure of late with some media outlets suggesting Sunday’s defeat could be his last game in charge of the Neroverdi.

“In the first half we did not play very well, but we were much better in the second half, Malesani said to Rai SportĀ in the aftermath of the defeat.

He continued “We have some problems, we are also in debt with bad luck.

“In the second half, when we tried to push, there was the big mistake of Berardi.”

He went on to speak about the young striker:

“Perhaps many were expecting something more from this guy, whom we remember is only 19-years-old.”

He also spoke on his sides chances of staying in Serie A this season.

“Luckily the teams in front are not running ahead, there is still time.”

Sassuolo are currently rooted to the bottom of the Serie A table and find themselves four points off safety.
