Ahead of Fiorentina’s vital Europa League contest with Juventus on Thursday the agent of long-term absentee Giuseppe Rossi has disclosed that the Italian international will be in attendance in Florence for the match.
However, although returning from specialist treatment in the United States Andrea Pastorello refused to be drawn on whether the 27-year-old could be ready in time for Italy’s World Cup assault insisting that he was only focusing on his Viola return.
“We organised the return of Giuseppe so that he will definitely be at the Artemio Franchi on Thursday,” Pastorello told TgR Tuscany.
“He wanted to be there, even though he followed Fiorentina while in the USA.
“When will he return to the pitch? Theoretically, at the end of April, we have to wait for the first few days on the pitch for the situation to be clearer.
“Will he make the World Cup? His first goal is to come back and do well with Fiorentina.”
