Spain without three key players for Italy friendly

Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos and Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas and Xavi will not start for Spain in midweek friendly game against Italy while Diego Costa will play from the off.

The Azzurri face La Roja on Wednesday and according to the speculation in the Spanish media the three players will not be in Vicente del Bosque’s plans.

Brazilian born Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa will play from the start and mark his first appearance for the Spanish national team.

Napoli central defender Raul Albiol will also be a starter for Spain alongside Bayern’s Javi Martinez.

Probable Spain line-up: Casillas; Juanfran, Raul Albiol, Javi Martínez, Jordi Alba; Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Thiago Alcantara; Pedro, Iniesta, Diego Costa.
