Udinese goalkeeper Simeone Scuffet admitted being called up to the World Cup would be “a dream.”
The goalkeeper kept a clean sheet in the Friuli side’s goalless draw vs Inter at the San Siro.
“The most important thing is to play well and give good performances, all games are important,” the youngster told Mediaset.
Scuffet has been praised for his form so far this season since being given the starting goalkeeping job mid-season.
“The defensive department is helping me a lot, I still do not know the experience of a veteran and they give me a hand.
I asked for the jersey of [Samir] Handanovic because I’ve always said he is my idol. The World Cup? remains a dream for me, I work Sunday after Sunday.”
