AC Milan are weighing up a summer move for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera as they look to reinforce their options in the middle of the park.
Herrera, 24, has previously been subject to a bid of around €30 million on the last day of the summer transfer window from Manchester United, however the Basque outfit rejected the offer on the table.
The Rossoneri are prepared to tempt Athletic with an offer of €18m for the former Spain U21 international according to infoticker.ch, and the player is now said to be after a move to a top European side with Milan prepared to make the first move for him this summer.
The midfielder is contracted with the Basque side until 2016, having joined his hometown club back in 2011, after spending two formative seasons with Real Zaragoza and has since made 125 appearances for Los Leones to date.
