AC Milan playmaker Kaka has denied reports that he is set to join American side Orlando City when they enter the MLS in 2015 and has said he will not decide on his future until after the World Cup.

The 31-year-old Brazil international only rejoined the Rossoneri at the start of this season after a less successful than expected spell with Spanish giants Real Madrid and has been one of Milan’s better players in what has been a difficult season for the club.

According to AS, Kaka was set to join Orlando in July, negotiations had been completed and rumours intensified when Orlando owner Flavio Augusto da Silva posted on his Facebook page that there was big news to come from Orlando on Saturday. He then posted a new link to an interview Kaka undertook on Sunday in which he clarified his position.

I have an excellent relationship with Flavio, we are really friends, but this is unknown, we will wait, he wrote. “I want to take one step at a time.

“I’m happy here in Milan, I hope to continue here, but let’s just decide at the end of the season. There’s a lot to happen yet; [Adriano] Galliani and I will decide what is best for me and Milan.”
