Pyro, flags and any other paraphernalia at the ready, it is once again time for Forza Italian Football’s recap of all the Italian Ultra action from the weekend and it is a real mixed bag of treats we have in store for you.

RomaSassuolo- ROMA

We all knew that one kid in school that never knew when to keep his mouth shut and stay out of trouble… Well this term that one kid is Roma. Despite having a fruitful campaign on the field the Giallorossi’s Ultras keep finding themselves in hot water, this week they travelled to Sassuolo in their hundreds and chose the most direct way into the league’s bad books by unveiling a banner that claimed Serie A President Maurizio Beretta was “a pig with no morals.” As you would expect this did not sit well with Lega Serie A who returned a message of their own to the tune of a €5000 fine.

Fiorentina/Sampdoriasampdoria-Fiorentina

Sampdoria played host to Fiorentina in one of the dullest games of the season but there was plenty of action coming from the terraces of the Stadio Luigi Ferraris. The Viola ultras took a large number of flags and banners to Genoa for an away side as they put on a show only to be out done by the home fans, the action travelled from end to end [corner] almost like a tennis match.

AtalantaAtalanta-bus

With dreams of a Europa League finish filling their heads, hundreds of Atalanta fans greeted their side as they returned home from Bologna after a sixth straight Serie A victory. The team bus met a sea of bodies under a cloud of smoke and flags as it drove off the autostrada and into Bergamo. The whole city was in carnival spirits even club president Antonio Percassi joined in the celebrations.
