Former Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni has revealed the reasons behind Phillippe Coutinho’s exit from the Nerazzurri, stating that it was necessary for the club to move forward due to their economic woes.

The Brazilian, who left the San Siro to join Liverpool in January of last year ,has been a resounding success at his new club which has irked a number of disgruntled Inter fans.

“I want to respond to people’s questions, as if I don’t, it seems as if I am avoiding the discussion,” the ex-Inter coach said from Fox Sports’ studios according to Fcinternews.it.

“The truth is that, at times, some operations go beyond the technical value and there are precise requirements,” a reference to the economic conditions at the Milan club.

Since signing at the Merseyside club, the attacking midfielder has gone on to trouble many Premier League defences and recently scored in his side’s win against Manchester City.
