While Arsenal are in pole position to sign young Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, Inter are reportedly not about to give up on the 21-year-old.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently earmarked the los Blancos youth product as one of the North London club’s main summer transfer targets, and has already made a €10 million offer to Madrid in order to beat other interested parties to the punch.

According to Fichajes.net though, Inter president Erick Thohir isn’t ready to let the promising forward go without a fight, and is willing to respond with an offer of €15m in order to outbid their Premier League rivals.

The player’s agent is thought to be in contact with both clubs, and is ready to conclude a transfer at any moment.

Morata has only started once for los Merengues in the league this term, and has made 16 further appearances as a substitute, scoring five goals.
