Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio has revealed that he will be donating money to charity for every new follower he receives on Twitter.

The 25-year-old made his official account on the popular social networking site on Wednesday morning and announced that he would making a donation of €0.50 for each new person that followed him, with all proceeds going to the ‘Aiutare I Bambini’ charity, which gives aid to needy children who live in the Italian’s home region of Campania.

As of Wednesday night, the former Torino man’s Twitter account, @ddambrosio, has gained over 15,000 followers. It’s not yet known how long the Naples-native will continue his generous mission.

D’Ambrosio arrived at Inter from the Granata during this season’s January transfer window in a deal that included a fee of €1.5 million plus youngster Matteo Colombi.

The full-back has made eight Serie A appearances for Walter Mazzarri’s Nerazzurri side since his arrival.
