Roma supporters are reportedly pushing for the renewal of Rodrigo Taddei by the end of the season.

The 34-year-old, who has been linked with a possible move to Fiorentina this summer as his current contract with the Giallorossi is set to expire in June, has been impressive in his recent appearances for the capital city club, which has caused many of the club’s fans to express their wishes to see him offered an extension.

One group of Lupi fans even held a sign in support of the veteran’s renewal during Roma’s 2-0 home win over AC Milan on Friday, which read: “Taddei, an example to renew.”

The midfielder responded to the sign by speaking through his official Twitter page after the victory and thanked the fans for their support.

“Thank you everyone! I’m very moved by your support!” he said.

Rodrigo Taddei, who has been with Roma since joining from Siena in 2005, has begun to shine again under coach Rudi Garcia and has scored two goals in his 16 Serie A appearances this season thus far.
