Alberto Bollini, Francesco Guidolin and Simone Inzaghi are reportedly the three names in the frame to replace Edy Reja as coach of Lazio.

It was reported on Wednesday that Reja may not remain as Biancocelesti coach next season following inconsistent results since replacing Vladimir Petkovic in January.

Tuttomercatoweb suggests that Bollini, Inzaghi and Guidolin are the men being considered by club president Claudio Lotito and technical director Igli Tare to take over.

The names of two of the candidates indicate that the option of promoting from within the club is being strongly considered.
Bollini, 47, is currently Reja’s assistant coach and previously had two spells in charge of the Primavera, while former striker Simone Inzaghi has been lauded since taking over from Bollini as Primavera coach.

Initial reports on Wednesday suggested that the Aquile were also looking at candidates with previous coaching experience in Serie A, with Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono already being said to have turned down the job.

This may have led the club to consider a move for Udinese coach Guidolin, should he decide to leave the Stadio Friuli this summer.

Rumours linking the capital club with a move for a coach from abroad though, such as Basel’s Murat Yakin, now appear to have subsided.
