Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin is confident that his side can continue to climb up the Serie A table ahead of Sunday’s match against Fiorentina.

The Bianconeri have picked up 7 points in the last three matches to ease any relegation fears, but will be without several key veterans for the trip to the Stadio Artemio Franchi due to injury.

“This year it is very difficult to reach Europe so we are only thinking about improving our ranking,” the 58-year-old tactician stated at his pre-match press conference.

“Maicosuel, Maurizio Domizzi, Giampiero Pinzi and Antonio Di Natale have not been called up.

“We will be very young, against a team that has experience, technical values, but we are confident.”

Guidolin also dismissed newspaper speculation about his relationship with the club hierarchy.

“While I was reading a headline in the newspapers in which they questioned the relationship with the patron, we were together to discuss the future,” he concluded.
