AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia is set to leave the club in the summer, his agent confirmed.

The 32-year-old’s contract expires in June with little chance of a renewal with the Rossoneri.

“He lived the season like a player who has an expiring contract and knows that the management is unlikely to renew it,” hia agent Franco Zavaglia told MilanNews.it

“We are about to find a solution, it is natural to think that, because to this day there are no scheduled meetings, no negotiations, we just have to pack the bags.

“Unfortunately, these are our sensations, we cannot fool ourselves.

“It is a moment of difficulty for the club, we must adequate serenely to its needs, we cannot do anything different.”

He was asked if some teams are already tracking him.

“There is no team in particular, Torino and Cagliari were two possible options in January, now we have to work to find a destination.”

In four seasons at Milan, Amelia has made 41 appearances but has always been considered a second.
