While it looks certain that striker Robinho will be departing AC Milan during the summer, it remains unclear where the next step on his career will be with Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution joining Flamengo and Besiktas as a potential destination.

The Brazilian has been with the Rossoneri since signing from Manchester City for €18 million at the very end of the 2010 summer transfer window, but after 14 Serie A goals in his debut season the attacker has often been close to leaving and has found starts hard to come by.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the American side are currently the front-runners for the 30-year-old’s signature with them seeing him as the ideal man to boost their hopes for the forthcoming season and leagues’ profile.

In four seasons at the San Siro, the former Real Madrid man scored just 32 goals in 144 appearances in all competitions, but did help the club to the Scudetto in his first campaign.
