AC Milan have pinpointed Nancy’s highly rated shot-stopper Paul Nardi as the man to replace Christian Abbiati in goals.

The 20-year-old French U20 international has enjoyed a superb season in Ligue 2, and has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Bordeaux.

The Rossoneri are on the lookout for a new number one for next season as veterans Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia look set to be moved on from the club.

France Football reports that Milan have been impressed with Nardi, who has been dubbed ‘the French Buffon’, and could commence negotiations with the French club in the coming days.

Nardi has made 33 appearances in his debut season for Nancy in Ligue 2 this season.
