Bayer Leverkusen right back Giulio Donati believes his fellow countryman Ciro Immobile will be a perfect fit for the Bundesliga.

The 24-year-old Torino striker is heavily linked with a transfer this summer to Borussia Dortmund, and Donati believes his game will translate well in Germany.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Donati believes the German league would be a great stage for the Capocannoniere to showcase his skills. Immobile found the back of the net 22 times in Serie A play this season.

“He has done well in Turin and here he would be even better because German football is very suitable to his characteristics and attackers are placed at the center of the game.”

Donati also spoke of how moving to Levekusen, and particularly the influence of the club’s sporting director Rudi Voller, helped him grow as a player.

“From the very first day they made me feel at home, and I have grew much as a defender.”
