Benitez - NapoliNapoli coach Rafa Benitez claims that his team had a near perfect campaign in his debut season.

The Partenopei capped off 2013/14 with a huge 5-1 win over Hellas Verona at the San Paolo, finishing third in the table.

“It was a near perfect season,” said Benitez to Mediaset Premium.

“I would give it an eight or nine. It’s hard to be perfect with a new coach and a new team, we did well in the Champions League and we have demonstrated that we can hurt teams in attack.

“Jose Callejon? I said he could score between 15 and 20 goals, he’s scored 20 but I’m also happy to see Dries Mertens and also Duvan Zapata performing well.

“Napoli in Europe again? It’s a sign that the club is working well in all departments. We can improve though, we just need continuity in the league.

“Scudetto? It’s possible, but Inter and Fiorentina will get better, we will have to enhance our team as well.”
