AC Milan executive Barbara Berlusconi thinks that the season has been disappointing and the club are aiming to qualify for the Champions League next season.
She also added that the Rossoneri should use Atletico Madrid as an example of how success can be found on a limited budget.
“I want to be honest because the supporters must not be fooled,” Barbara told Sky Sport Italia.
“The goal is to return in the Champions League in 2015/2016.
“We must take the heed from Atletico Madrid who showed that great results can be reached with a limited budget.”
Milan finished eighth in Serie A this past season, 21 points away from Napoli, who grabbed third and the final Champions League qualification place.
