After failing to secure a permanent deal with Fiorentina Manchester United midfielder Anderson is facing an anxious wait over the summer as he awaits Louis van Gaal’s decision on his Old Trafford future.

With the Dutchman taking charge of his homeland at this summers’ World Cup finals he will have little opportunity to assess whether the Brazilian can still have a significant impact for the Red Devil’s or should be put up for sale by the club.

However, after an underwhelming spell in Florence, making just seven appearances after arriving in January, Tuttomercatoweb believe that the Premier League side are likely to attempt to move on the ex-Porto man before his contract expires in June 2015.

The 26-year-old joined the English side for a massive €30m in 2007, but in the last five seasons has failed to feature in more than half of their league fixtures and the club will be forced to accept a much lower fee for the South American.
