Despite media reports suggesting that Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi divulged the details of a contract renewal, his agent Alessandro Lucci has stated otherwise.
The Giallorossi forward was an integral part of Rudi Garcia’s side during the 2013-2014 campaign and his current contract extends till June 2016.
However, talks of a new contract have begun to surface following a string of promising displays.
“I categorically deny that he had spoken of figures, dates and details of a new contract,” his agent told Tuttomercatoweb.com
“As reported by some sections of the media it is not true, I repeat.”
Lucci also hinted that the 23-year-old would like to continue playing for the capital side.
“The intention is to continue. However, at the appropriate time we will discuss this.”
Having graduated from Roma’s youth academy, Florenzi made 36 Serie A appearances this season.
