Torino striker Ciro Immobile has stated his intent to remain with current employers Torino after the Granata claimed victory over Chievo on Sunday.

A Gennaro Sardo own goal was enough for Torino to claim all three points at the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday and the victory leaves the Granata in sixth place with their Europa League dreams still intact.

Speaking with Sky Sport Italia after the match the Italian forward heaped praise on his teammates and opened up on his feelings and intentions to stay with the Turin club.

“Torino put their hearts in it today. It was a very difficult game.”

“It was important to win, we have done that with an own goal but who scores is not important.”

“Tonight will be even nicer to go to Superga.”

The striker also responded to questions about the national team and his future with Torino.

“I will do what I did today, help my team to win. We are two points away from Europe.”

“I am alright here. We now have the European objective, it is only right that Petrachi speaks about the market, not us.”

Immobile currently leads the Serie A capocannoniere charts with 21 goals.
