Englishman Michael Bolingbroke is set to become Inter’s new CEO, after leaving his role of chief operating officer at Manchester United.

Bolingbroke has been in charge of ticketing, hospitality and match day operations at United for seven years, but from July 1 he will be working under Nerazzurri owner Erick Thohir.

47-year-old Bolingbroke has been instrumental in the development of United’s Aon Training Complex, and according to Sportmediaset his expertise in merchandising is what caught the eye of Thohir.

The Indonesian is keen to tap into methods used by the reigning English champions as he looks to take Inter back to the top of Italian football.

Meanwhile central defender Nemanja Vidic played his last home game for United against Hull City on Tuesday, ahead of his move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza from Old Trafford this summer.
