Inter are being linked to Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo.

The Spanish striker moved to Manchester City last summer, however, the Nerazzurri are attempting to bring Negrado to the San Siro on a loan deal, according to SportMediaSet.

Current Inter coach Walter Mazzarri is keen on bolstering his striking options despite the club signing Argentine Mauro Icardi last summer.

Icardi and Rodrigo Palacio combined for 26 goals in 2013/14 and Mazzarri believes the club need help in the attack as Inter will resume European play next season.

Negredo featured in 32 of the English Premier League champion’s matches notching nine goals. However, Negrado failed to score or assist a goal in the final four months of the season and is now thought to be surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium.

Inter already have backup plans if their pursuit of Negredo falls through. The Nerazzurri have placed Udinese’s Gabriel Silva on their wishlist along with Tottenham’s Erik Lamela.

Negredo has been included in Vincente Del Bosque’s 30-man provisional team ahead of next month’s World Cup in Brazil.
