Reja - LazioLazio coach Edy Reja said he felt Lazio created the chances but failed to score them following his side’s 4-1 loss to Inter.

Despite gaining an early lead, Lazio were unable to take the many opportunities that they created in the second half, all but ending their European ambitions.

‘’The performance was good and we created the opportunities but failed to take them and turn them into goals,” Reja told Sky Sport Italia.

“We didn’t close down well either which led to goals.

“[Samir] Handanovic on the other hand was the best on the field and made some important saves.’’

“The conditions weren’t easy and Inter were quicker than us in certain areas of the pitch and our dream of Europe has gone.

“It was always going to be difficult to get a result with the suspensions and injuries we have however I felt the team could have battled more.

“We’ll be playing more younger players again next season and I want to continue the project I have here.”
