Livorno defender Ibrahima Mbaye has revealed that he’d be open to an Inter return, though he’s mainly focused on continuing his growth on the pitch no matter where he plays.

The 19-year-old, who joined the recently relegated Labronici on loan from the Nerazzurri last summer, managed to notch two goals and two assists in his 25 Serie A appearances for the Amaranto during the 2013-14 season, but is currently set to return to the Milan side once his loan deal expires on June 30.

Mbaye spoke to FcInterNews.it about his time with Livorno and his possible return to Inter this summer, while also commenting on his mission to continue growing as a player in all aspects.

“I’ve learned many things with Livorno, all thanks to my team-mates and my coach, who helped me a lot,” said the Senegalese youngster. “However, playing for Inter is a dream for everyone.

“It would have been nice if we were able to save Livorno from relegation. It has still been a great experience and I want to thank all of my team-mates, the coach, the club’s leadership, the fans and the entire city of Livorno for this. I specifically want to thank coach Davide Nicola.

“Inter? To go back would be a nice thing, but it’s not for me to decide. As for me, I only think of continuing to play, to learn and to grow.

“I think I still need to improve in all fields, I still have many things to learn.”
