Olympique Lyonnais president Jean-Michel Aulas has not abandoned the hopes to keep Maxime Gonalons.
The French midfielder is still heavily pursued by Napoli.
“Maxime’s heart beats for Olympique Lyonnais,” Aulas told the club’s official television.
“He drew the interest of many clubs and he is among the most coveted players.
“I have always said that he could leave the club at the end of the season, his sale could help us economically.”
However, he will try to talk Gonalons into staying.
“I meet him before the vacations and I will tell him that his place is here in Lyon, if he wants it, he can stay with us.”
