Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has reportedly invited Napoli legend Diego Maradona to attend the Old Lady’s Europa League tie with Benfica in Turin on Thursday.

The Bianconeri will be facing the Portuguese side in their second leg semi-final match at Juventus Stadium on Thursday and it seems the 53-year-old will be present as the reigning Serie A champions look to secure a victory after losing 2-1 in the first leg.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Jose Mourinho invited Maradona to witness Chelsea’s second leg semi-final game against Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, which saw them eliminated from the competition after losing 3-1, and Tevez has now apparently extended his own invitation as well.

The former Manchester City man is known to be very close with El Pibe de Oro, especially after both Argentines worked together during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

If Juve manage to defeat Benfica, they will be facing either Valencia or Sevilla in the final at Juventus Stadium.
